Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10
Draft: these terms are being reviewed by a lawyer before Slice handles real money. They describe how Slice works today.
Slice is run from the Netherlands. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain words.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), the business or channel details you enter.
- Tracking data: when someone clicks a publisher's link we record the time, the product, the referring page and country, a click ID, and a one-way hash of the IP address. We do not store the IP address itself and we do not use third-party cookies.
- Sales data: what the advertiser reports or what their payment provider tells us (amount, currency, an order reference). We never match customers by email address.
- Payment data: Stripe handles bank, card and identity details. We store identifiers and a short label such as “ending 3000”, never the full numbers or documents.
Why
To run the service: tracking sales, calculating and paying commission, preventing fraud, sending the emails you ask for, and keeping the platform secure. Legal bases: performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and legal obligations such as tax and anti-fraud rules.
Who sees it
- Advertisers see the publishers who promote them and the sales credited to them, not your email address.
- Publishers see their own clicks and earnings, not the advertiser's customers.
- Service providers process data for us: hosting, email delivery, file storage and Stripe for payments.
How long
Financial records are kept as long as the law requires. Click data is kept as long as needed to calculate and dispute commission. You can ask us to delete your account; records we must keep by law stay.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to processing. Email hello@takeslice.com. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
