Publisher Terms
Version 2026-10
Draft: these terms are being reviewed by a lawyer before Slice handles real money. They describe how Slice works today.
These terms apply when you apply to promote a product on Slice (takeslice.com) and while you promote it.
What Slice is
Slice connects publishers (creators, sites and people who recommend products) with advertisers (the businesses that sell them). Slice tracks clicks and sales, calculates commission and arranges payment. Slice is not a party to the sale between the advertiser and its customer.
Commission
- You earn the commission shown on the product's page for each qualifying sale, signup or lead credited to your link. Slice charges its fee to the advertiser on top. It is never taken from your commission.
- Each sale is pending during a validation period (the product's returns period plus 7 days, at most 67). The advertiser can decline it with a reason, for example when the sale was refunded. After validation it is approved.
- Refunds and lost disputes reduce or reverse the commission in proportion.
- A sale counts when it happens within the campaign's cookie window after a click on your link.
Payment
- An approved commission is paid after the advertiser's payment has been collected and a safety hold has passed (up to 14 days for new advertisers).
- Payouts are sent through Stripe once your available balance reaches the minimum. You must complete Stripe's identity and bank verification. Stripe's own terms apply to your Stripe account.
- Slice does not pay commission the advertiser has not paid for a reason the advertiser is not responsible for under these terms, and we do not claim a payout has succeeded until the payment provider confirms it.
How you promote
- Follow the promotion rules the advertiser sets on its join page. You confirm them when you apply.
- Say clearly that your links are affiliate links wherever local law or the advertiser requires it.
- Do not mislead people, click your own links to earn commission, create fake clicks or sales, or use methods that break the law or the advertiser's rules.
- Slice or the advertiser may decline commission earned through fraud or rule breaches, and may end the partnership.
Ending a partnership
You can stop promoting a product at any time. An advertiser can end a partnership with a reason. Links then stop earning, and sales already tracked keep their normal lifecycle.
Your data
How Slice handles personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
