Payment providers

Connect the checkout your customers already use.

Your customers can pay through any provider. Connect it once on the Tracking page and Slice counts sales, refunds and renewals from it, without code on your server. Slice itself always collects from advertisers and pays publishers through Stripe, whatever checkout you use.

  • Stripe: live. Paste a key and Slice creates the webhook for you.
  • Paddle, Polar, Dodo Payments, Lemon Squeezy, RevenueCat, Shopify and WooCommerce: beta. Slice gives you a webhook URL; you add it in the provider and paste the signing secret back (RevenueCat: Slice gives you the secret).

Credit the right publisher

Pass the click ID to the provider's checkout as custom data named slice_click_id. Where it goes depends on the provider:

  • Paddle: custom_data on the checkout.
  • Polar: metadata on the checkout.
  • Dodo Payments: metadata on the payment.
  • Lemon Squeezy: checkout[custom][slice_click_id].
  • RevenueCat: a subscriber attribute named slice_click_id.
  • Shopify: a cart attribute named slice_click_id (call /cart/update.js once with window.Slice.clickId()).
  • WooCommerce: install the Slice for WooCommerce plugin, which saves it with the order.

How amounts are counted

Commission is calculated on the sale net of tax (and, for Shopify and WooCommerce, net of shipping), so the publisher earns on what the seller actually sells. Refunds reduce the commission in proportion; chargebacks and lost disputes reverse it. A payment on a subscription Slice already knows is treated as a renewal and credited to the publisher of the first payment.

The non-Stripe connections are new. Make a test purchase after connecting and check it appears on your Tracking page before you rely on it. Refunds on Dodo Payments are applied on the amount the provider reports, which includes tax.
