Try the whole path without creating money.
Every product has a test mode with its own keys. Test conversions are badged Test, stay out of your numbers and reports, and never create money.
- Use an sk_test_ key from your Tracking page.
- Click your own test link to get a click ID, then send a conversion with it.
- Keys of one mode don't work with clicks of the other: you get wrong_mode.
